No one can deny a delicious, cool and beautiful chocolate flan cake. Let’s learn how to make one for your family and friends.
A chocolate flan cake consists of 3 main parts which are the caramel layer, flan layer and cake layer. First, you will have to make the caramel layer and then pour it into a mold. Next is the flan, which is poured onto the caramel layer and then cooked in a bain marie. Finally, make the chocolate cake layer. When the dough is mixed, pour it into the cooked flan molds and continue to bake.
After baking the cake for the prescribed time, put it on a plate. The cake layer will turn out to be the bottom part, the flan in the middle and the top will be the sweet caramel layer.
How to make a delicious chocolate flan cake
– Flan: 1 box of milk, 200g cream cheese left at room temperature, 200 ml whipping cream, 6 eggs, 300 ml unsweetened milk, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1 tablespoon Rum (if available)
– Caramel: 100 gr sugar, 120 ml water
– Cake: 4 eggs, 30 ml oil, 20 gr chocolate powder, 90 gr sugar, 25 ml unsweetened milk, 1 pinch of salt, 45 gr flour, 1 teaspoon vanilla
How to do it:
Step 1: Make the carameli
Add sugar and 100 ml of water to a small pot, cook until the sugar turns brown, add 20 ml of boiling water to the pot and cook for 30 seconds more and turn off the heat (this helps to prevent the caramel from being too sweet and bitter.) During the cooking, do not use chopsticks to stir, just hold the pot and shake to prevent the sugar from overflowing.
Pour the caramel in a mold.
Step 2: Make the flan
Put all the flan ingredients in the blender and blend for 1 minute. Pass the mixture through a sieve and slowly pour it into the mold of caramel. Cover the mold with cellophane. Put the mold into a bigger tray, pour boiling water into the tray.
Step 3: Turn the oven on at 150-160 degrees C for 10 minutes. Then put the mold in the center of the oven to cook for 50 minutes.
Step 4: Make the cake
Heat the oil in a microwave for a few seconds to warm the oil, then add the cocoa powder, use a spoon to stir and then mix it with the yolks. Add 30 grams of sugar, oil and milk and mix. Finally, add the flour with a pinch of salt and vanilla.
Step 5: Put the egg whites in a bowl, whisk them for 2 minutes, then slowly add sugar and beat. Add 1/2 of the egg white to the bowl of flour, and gently mix, then add the remaining 1/2 of egg white to the mixture and mix. You’ll have a smooth mixture.
Step 7: After 50 minutes of baking the flan, get the mold out, pour the mixture into the flan and bake for another 40-45 minutes.
After baking, let the chocolate flan cake cool and put it in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, before placing the cake on a plate and enjoy.
